Our exuberant youth group is for young people from sixth grade through high school. While we have many adult youth advisors, the focus of the activities, mission and service projects, and content is directed by the youth themselves. In the past, the youth group has raised funds and provided the work for renovating their own Youth Room at the church, manned many all-church brunches, and shared stories from the annual mission trips they have enjoyed. Past mission trips have included serving in soup kitchens in devastated communities during the Jersey Shore restoration, beach clean-ups near Atlantic City, volunteering on the Heifer Project working farm in Massachusetts, and painting new apartments for homeless families receiving their first place of their own through housing assistance. The youth at Willow Grove Church have found these experiences to be nothing short of transformational. The youth group deemed itself the SixTEEN13 group, taking their inspiration from 1 Corinthians 16:13. "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong." This verse inspires the teens to live their faith boldly in the face of today's constant challenges. We invite you to join us for a Sunday evening youth group gathering. Visitors do not have to be members of the church---all teens are welcome to experience the joy and solidarity of living boldly in the faith!
